The 48 Hour Wardrobe

KATPacking for an overnight business trip is a balance of boardroom prowess and afterhours networking. This is your guide to packing all the essentials for the next 48.

Time is money – so don’t waste any waiting for your suitcase at the luggage carrousel. Packing everything you need into one carry-on bag can easily be achieved by precision planning your outfits into a few versatile looks.

The outfit that you wear to board your flight should be smart yet functional: A suit jacket, a polo shirt, tailored chinos, slip-on leather loafers, and of course your hold all carry-on bag.

To The Airport

From the flight, hit the office in a hurry by teaming up your jacket with matching suit trousers and a more formal collared shirt. Polish off the look with a tie, a leather belt, and slip on a pair of socks with your loafers.

To The Boardroom

After a productive day in the boardroom, it’s time to network over drinks or dinner with colleagues. You can re-style the same suit simply by changing into a fresh shirt, and adding a pocket square to your jacket pocket. Unless it’s a formal engagement, leave your collar open a touch – to unwind into the evening.

After Hours

The next day; wrap up business with an informal breakfast meeting, before heading back to the airport. Pair the suit jacket with a light weight knit or t-shirt (depending on company), slim-cut dark jeans and a pair of clean leather sneakers.

Breakfast Wrap Up

Finally, after boarding your return flight; stash your carry-on up top, recline and unwind for the flight home.

All the best for your next business trip.
